Another Online Goody, ‘Edit Your Photos for FREE Online with PhotoShop Online Service’

Adobe is not only about PDF files but there more to Adobe than that. Adobe launched a free, Web-based version of their software that is friendly and good for any other use you’d like for your photos. It’s called PhotoShop Express (Beta). Now you can manipulate your images online for use on your website, blog, FaceBook profile, etc.
During registration for the service, you’ll note that the service will tell you that it’s only available in USA. Don’t get discouraged because we all over the world benefit on the strength of this global tool, the internet. Do pick USA for progress reasons; otherwise there are no other options for your country and mine.
There’s even a “Share” feature that allows you to send photos to friends and family. I just did a trial run. It’s very easy to use and quite similar to other photo sharing sites.
You can crop, fix red eye, adjust the saturation, white balance, hue and utilize many of the other popular PhotoShop functions. Of course, this is nothing like having the full-blown version of PhotoShop installed on your computer, but it’s a very nice tool if you need to share or edit your photos on the fly.
And since the full version of PhotoShop would cost you about $650, this is a nice alternative.
Tip: When you’re ready to download edited photos to your PC, you have to go back to your “Library” and hover over the photo.
This will reveal a “Photo Options” tab at the bottom of your photo. Now you can choose to download it. I almost missed this, and I think they could have made this option a little more obvious.
Other than that, a pretty decent job by Adobe.
Check out PhotoShop Express here. (You may be prompted to download the latest version of Flash.)
