I’m lucky to understand myself so very well that I know when I’m biting the hand that feeds me. So, here I go again biting this had once more. I know well as many would agree with me that I need article directories as much as they need publishers like me. I’m posting this in one article directory because I know I stand chances of benefiting one way or the other. But, today I have one more reason for not relying on Article Directories for traffic, additional to what I have stipulated earlier on in my article ‘Disadvantage of relying on Article Directories for Traffic‘, in my blog yeboyesafrica.com.

I know my market in Swaziland and its internet penetration to date. Even though I may not be up to date with recent figures, but I clearly understand the market within my perimeters, Swaziland. So I knew what keyword would come top for my interest business. I will make this example so clear that you can try it for yourself and see the results in google.com.

I chose the keywords ‘Swaziland Motivational Speakers’ and put it in the topic to attract visitors. I put this in the content as well to make sure the title is in line with the content. In a few days as usual, I went to google.com to check the outcome of my post. I typed the phrase as is ‘Swaziland Motivational Speakers’, and there topic came up number 1 on the search engine. I looked closely at the link topic and the paragraph under the link. There was a great mismatch. You can try this and prove me wrong if you disagree.

The link topic was: ‘Hire Motivational Speakers for Un-motivators’, which I don’t know the author that links to it. Guess what? The detailing paragraph was exactly the summary I had given for my article. Guess what happens when a visitor clicks that link. Visitors are redirected to the website that I don’t know and that is not in line with what the detailing paragraph says. Let’s reason together, the visitor is searching for Swaziland Motivational Speaker and get a good search result and that has the exact letters, but then cannot find this particular motivational speaker in Swaziland. It’s a wasted effort not only for me but for this website where the link redirects.

In my blog, I have written an article to dismiss all unfairness allegations against the internet. I still subscribe to that belief but do know that people can be unfair. I’m not accusing anyone, but do think it’s due to human intervention that the link redirects otherwise. I however stand to be corrected.

Am I getting unpopular by the day ‘No, I don’t think so because no publicity is bad publicity’. I have written this article and posted it in my articlesbase.com post.

Please note that this article was intended for an article directory but because of its nature, it may not be accepted by the many article directories out there.
