Website Marketing from ‘OMO’, ‘Jik’, ‘Surf’, ‘Lux’, ‘Vaseline’ or ‘Nevia’
In the middle on my study class, I feel I should write this one. Don’t be mislead, this article is not on tips, uses or advice on using the brands listed in the topic but serves as a lesson to webmasters. People from Southern African (maybe even Africa at large) will know the brands – OMO, Jik, Sirf, Lux, Vaseline, Nevia and many others. These are common perishables for the family. I have learnt that having these words can boost traffic volumes to ones website. I posted an article on using Jik as a water purifier it has contributes a good percentage of traffic to my website. Then the big question is whether to keep using these brand names to make for the traffic required to keep the website going?
I don’t think it is a good idea to use these brands irrelevantly, I’ll tell you why. People go online to search for information and if they don’t get what they were looking for, they will never come back. They may feel abused and surely won’t like it. I’m sure it’s not the intensions of any marketer to have a visitor coming only once to their websites. You want return visitors in multiples so that your website gets high ranks on search engines. The best practice, if you feel you must use these brand names, is to write articles that will be relevant to each of them or collectively.
Rather, keep it at your level and make sure it keeps coming. I want to note the impact of consistency that has made many people successful. Like I say in some of my articles, musicians are an inspiration to me. I have noted the artists that keep producing their kind of music to be successful that the many who occasionally do. Bionce, Ncandweni, Benjamin Dube, Foxx, Brandy, Maria Carey are just a few from many that make a good example of success based on consistency.
Keep doing the right thing, the right way and they will come. It will eventually get to your desired level if you don’t tire.
