‘My Other Me’ Shall Correct My Affiliate Marketing Mistakes
Unless there is a lesson in an article, it surely would be useless posting it for everyone’s consumption. The truth always manifest itself, no matter the time taken. I therefore will tell the truth about the website ‘cheetaholidays.com’ that is largely focused on affiliate marketing. I think I have made one or two affiliate marketing mistakes that I want to correct. I thereofre opted for ‘My Other Me’ website that is represented by my wife. I realize that affiliate marketing is another money making alternative online, not so lucrative but can afford me the opportunity to get a few dollars for just little effort.
The Person of ‘My Other Me’
cheetaholidays.com. The story is simple. After having been banned from using a certain South Africa affiliate programme other than offerforge.co.za, I felt too bad about it and wanted a way of getting back into the affiliate programme. The story is detailed in the post ‘How I got into Affiliate Marketing’, expressed by ‘My Other Me’. After this predicament, I tried communicating my case to regain my account, but no response has come as yet.
The closest person that can represent me is my wife. She is ‘My Other Me’ in the affiliate marketing website
The long and short of it is that, the website ‘cheetaholidays.com’ exists because I’m pushing my wife to try her luck where I failed and where I can’t have a second chance. Being the nice woman she is, she allowed me to get started on the whole website and she comes and bless the work done. You are welcome to learn on affiliate marketing at her site.
Affiliate Marketing Mistake
Having no idea what made me loose my account, I think I was panelized because of the following:
Having seen other affiliate marketers putting up a page of Earn Per Click (EPC) ads for the very same affiliate company in one page, I did just that same. The affiliate programme operator may have noticed and put my account on dormant. At first, like the article states, I was surprised and just didn’t understand why my account has all of a sudden gone dormant. I found the answer four days latter when they responded to my enquiry through their ‘conatc us’ page. The answer was simply that there was a fraudulent exercise from my blog, which I unfortunately don’t know about.
I have other affiliate programmes running in my blog, but surely don’t like it when I loose any of them. I have an attitude of respecting all affiliate programmes that I enroll with. There is no point applying if some will be ranked better than others. I therefore have learnt a lesson that reading the terms of service for any service you sign up for online or even offline is very important. It was after reading the terms of service that I learnt that those who put EPC adds in one page are allowed after having made applications with the service provider.
In short, I guess the mistakes that led to my account getting suspended were the following:
1. Not reading the terms of service page to learn and abide with them
2. Copying what others are doing without getting the facts (they just could have agreements with the service providers)
3. Not consulting the service provider before doing something different
The pain of loosing affiliate membership is unbearable, I therefore advice you to consult the service provider before getting innovative with their service. First visit the service provider’s website to learn, and most importantly visit their terms of service page. Believe me, it will serve you lots unwanted worry.
