Business Insight – ‘Copy Cats Don’t Realize Their Demise’
I’d call it useless toil and if it does work, it most often is for a short time. Many times when you copy and try to do exactly what others do or have done, your success becomes far fetched. If you are a copy cat, you may as well expect failure as soon as you start out on your journey. Its been quoted as ‘struggling’ in many cases. All around us we see copy cats and often think they benefit as much as the inventors do, it most often is a lie.
Today I read an article from Lisa’s 2createawebsite.com, where she tells the story of how struggling copycats in blogging suffer their reporting behavior. She explains reporting as telling what you have been told and assume ownership. It is common for people to teach others a lesson on something they themselves haven’t tried, yet they want to appear as experts. This is common online as much as it is common in other offline businesses. Like you may already know, pyramid schemes use this reporting method a lot. They will tell you of other people’s success from the scheme and make you believe you will achieve similar results – guess what – you never make it but loose everything.
I buy into the idea of growing to be an expert by telling the story of your own personal journey into achieving your goals. Surely, it will be unique and interesting and attract people, particularly your target market. That is why unique content always work for bloggers. In other words, being an expert is earn over time.
Swimming in the Blue Ocean
Actually, the future belongs to those that create and execute blue ocean strategies.
Blue oceans can be created in areas where a service or product has only been heard off. For example, if in your area there in no internet café, you may work at setting up one after looking at its potential. You should overlook the risks involved. Blue ocean strategy should not be static but be dynamic in nature. Once you have successfully created a blue ocean, you should prolong your profits and sanctuary by swimming as far as possible in the blue ocean.
The opposite of blue ocean is red ocean. A red ocean is where survival comes by struggling. Some say that the red ocean is influenced by military roots. It is about confronting and fighting over a given piece of the pie that is both limited and constant.

I know this piece of advice is timeless, so please try to unleash the original person in you so that everybody benefits from your toil.
