“FOCUS” Makes Success in Business and Life Strategy – Part 2
Its amazing that animals can also focus to do extraordinary things also. I recall seeing a dog riding on a skate board, a dog spelling out some words, a pig saving a heart attack victim, and many unexpected surprising acts from different animals. Coming closer home, children have also demonstrated the power of focusing. In the programme I have seen a young boy of 3 riding on a skate board, a 5 year body builder that can lift up high three times the weight of his body more time than any adult body builder and a 3 year old girl that can read, spell and write properly.
The lesson I have learnt about focus is that to maximize performance and exceed people’s expectations, sometimes you have ignore all other things and focus on one. Sometimes even those who cheer you up can disturb you, thus they must also be ignored. I think the world lack people that can capitalize on the strength of focusing.
In one of his quotes, Bill Gates make mansion of the fact that his success comes from being focused. Gates describes how a fight with his parents and the resulting visit to a psychiatrist, helped him learn to focus his energy on what’s important – a lesson we all should take to heart. You can view Gates video in this link to hear him declare his unweaving belief to focusing.
This is actually a challenge to all living people today, including myself. I’m also working on it daily. Just this morning I had to put my books away so that I could focus on Billy Graham’s message on TV. I bet, I wouldn’t have benefited as much if I still had my books open while listening to him. So, you can try it also and see how far focusing can take you.
