Warning! – Exploitation Abounds at High Traffic Attainment

This article aim at advising website owners, particularly those that are starting out, on minimizing costs on creating traffic for their websites. I sense exploitation to those who are working at increasing traffic for their websites, and I wonder why do some website owners claim to have high traffic and go on to exploit other people. As a growing internet marketer who understands the language of unique content, I condemn this practice.

Today I discovered an article directory website where you pay for posting your articles, as opposed to selling your articles or at the least post for free, at their site and they claim to help make your article popular. Most of these websites are not ranking high in SEO yet they still want to take advantage of the ignorant in the name of high traffic ranking. Business ethics are questionable for such internet companies. I guess they are asking for too much.

Asking for Too Much! – How?

This, to my understanding, is worse than asking for too much, it is exploitation. I know that marketers are free to do as they want in their internet business, websites in this case, but the issue of business ethics is of concern.  I believe whenever you post an article to an article directory you have actually helped the owners by adding unique content, which is the number requirement of keeping a website alive.  

I haven’t seen any article directory that wouldn’t put some ads (or 1 at the least) at the side of their contributor’s  articles. If you have, give me a reference. My understanding, of which I think should be common online,  is that article directories exist and survive on the ads that generate commission from affiliate companies like TrafficSynergy and offerforge. That should be an enough reward for an ethical website marketer.  

My Advice

There is indisputable benefit in posting articles to directories and you can do that at only the cost of your time creating the content and posting it. Don’t waste your money buying space to post your article to a directory, save your money for something more important. There are many article directories that will push traffic for your website. I currently use articlesbase.com and several others, I’m happy with them.
