Open Your Eyes to African Online Wealth
How else could I have written the topic better? My eyes just opened to African online wealth after having spent lots of time struggling to earn a dime with Google Adsense, Commission Junction, PayPal, HostNine and other non-African affiliate companies.
It’s a tendency for Africans, and people from other developing parts of the world, to look up to Europe and America for handouts even when we are liberated by the prevailing regime of globalization. It’s very unfortunate that it often takes repeated trial and error to accept and believe the possibilities of wealth creation from within Africa. And today I bring the good news that Africa in not only rich in natural resources, but also in soft products.
Much as I have learnt not to lament lost opportunities but accept them as a lesson, I do realize that prioritizing non-African affiliate programmes has delayed my financial success online. I always was looking up for opportunities to come from major non-African companies like Google, Microsoft, IBM, Yahoo, and many other ‘prominent’ ones, yet there are better working ones right in South Africa – TrafficSynergy and OfferForge. I claim these are better because they work with companies we are familiar to and they give terms ideal for an average income earner (giving a pay outs starting at R 250.00) and thus are ideal for the traffic may website attracts.
There is no secrete to being successful online other than choosing to do what you can afford and start making some money for yourself. I’m learning all the way and have come up with a simple, free and worth trying combination that continues to make money for me online. They do the same in America, Europe, Asia and even in here Africa – publishing articles and content on what they have learnt through experience or on what they want to learn more about. If you’d take me at my word and believe that you can do it, you can get started by reading some of my motivational articles from this list.
One other good thing about internet money is that you set your own
standards, you learn at your own pace and you fight your own battles. There is no teacher to give you marks but you pace up with your competition and only get rewards equivalent to the effort you put in. in other words, you have yourself to blame for the results. I’ll make an example of myself, I have realized that the standard I had set for myself on posting articles not shorter than one page has long been forgotten because prevailing circumstances prove that it doesn’t matter the length but the quality of content.
I have wasted my time getting worried if my country, Swaziland, is not listed in the registration list of countries when signing up for affiliation. But today I know that it’s not a problem because I can earn from affiliate companies from Africa too. Believe me that you are on the right track when you look just next door, in South Africa, for online opportunities as opposed to far away places.
