Most Affiliate Companies are Unfriendly to African Marketers
Sometime you may dream big like the many internet marketers that capitalize on affiliate programmes but it won’t be as easy if you are based in developing countries like most African countries. There surely is no one to blame for this, even the affiliate companies themselves, but the forces of demand and supply for products and service in the internet. People go online to search for content to suit their needs and most conventional countries use the internet as opposed to several developing countries that largely use hard copy publications. This behavior puts marketers in developed countries at a great advantage because they’ll be promoting more of local products and to mostly local or identical consumers. Unlike marketers from developing countries that have to promote remote products to remote markets.
This predicament does not mean that there is no hope for internet marketers that are based in developing countries, but that they should make their selection of affiliate programmes wisely. It always serves one best to know or at least have an idea of where his/her website visitors come from and the rank of the website. This affiliate company promotes products that are known to a majority of South Africans and present more chances of accomplishing my affiliate goals than any other programme for the South African market.
So, don’t just go for any affiliate programme but make calculated decision to optimize opportunities. Chances are there for the determined and the internet favors no one but only those that like what they do.
