The African Online Money Maker that Works for Me – Part 2
I want to continue my lesson on making money online with credible African affiliate companies. Indeed joining more than one affiliate companies is a good move. No two affiliate companies can be 100% identical except for common features such as location, earning currency, location of companies promoted; which a webmaster should pay attention to when comparing companies.
So, at least two affiliate companies that share the same geographic location and pay in the same currency makes no compelled changes for a webmaster should s/he want to swap ads. Both affiliate companies will most likely be promoting products to the same target market. For example, if your website attracts a high percentage of visitors from one location, say 90% from South Africa, switching the affiliate companies may not be even noticed by the visitors because ads will be from companies they know. Guess what would happen if you had to swap ads between a company in South Africa and another in the UK. Your website (particularly your ads) would just get unpopular with the majority of visitors, which is a major downfall for many marketers.
My experience has proven that South Africa has two major players in the affiliate marketing industry and to me, a client, they are equally credible. These are TrafficSynergy and OfferForge. Although these companies are in direct competition, they don’t forbid joining both. I have learnt that you can switch ads between the two based on your preferences. I prefer PPC (pay per click) adds because they seem to throw a coin into my pocket with each impression. For starters, I must say that PPC is the best.
The same would apply for American affiliate companies. If you join Google as an affiliate, you may have to join Yahoo as well. It’s funny though that I only joined google adsense and not Yahoo! My reason for doing that is that my focus in not in America but in Africa, particularly South Africa that has a majority visitors coming to my website. I’m grateful that the internet has no country boundary limits; I can earn from anywhere in the world for as long as I meet the promoter’s requirements and deliver as expected.
