Internet Affiliate Marketing Leader Qualities
What exactly would you look for in a person you’d consider a real marketer that you can follow? There are many who claim to have made it in internet affiliate marketing and they differ in many ways. Some claim to be earning lots of money such as a 6 figure income, but is this what defines a good leader in affiliate terms? Some will claim to be affiliated to many successful companies and many other claims that make them feel comfortable to dictate terms on how it all works.
I also have my own weaknesses in this area. My claim is always the time I have spent trying to make this whole internet marketing thing work. I have been here since 2004 and have just tasted a tip of what affiliate marketing success is all about. Often I have learnt my lesson in practice but I have looked up to a few fellows that claim to have made descent income from affiliate marketing. You may have your own reasons for following a self acclaimed leader, but I look for the following qualities:
1. Quality of ideas – this means real and practical demonstration of how to get from zero to the claimed six figure income.
2. Legal – the internet is flooded with so many illegal businesses and I don’t want to identify with any of those. If it seems too good to be true, I then have a good reason to be skeptical.
3. Within my means – a lot of internet business ideas that present lucrative methods of making money online do work but for specific geographical locations, works with certain banks, require specific features of internet connection, etc. No matter how good the idea can be, if it won’t work for me in Africa (Swaziland to be precise), it of no use to me.
4. Achievable – This means being realistic. I don’t want to go around trying for a pie in the sky when in the first place the idea didn’t make any sense. It however is not a surprise because a lot of such unrealistic businesses are in the field of affiliate marketing or MLM.
I encourage you to save yourself time and money by choosing a mentor that meets the above qualities. Surely the list is not exhaustive of indicators of a quality affiliate marketing leader but these can be used as a base. Be on the lookout for reporters of the good news that put themselves in the shoes of successful marketers yet they haven’t earn a thing. There are so many of such people such that you may think it’s easy to make it with affiliate marketing yet it is not. Just take your time and scrutinize, by so doing you’ll have saved yourself some trouble.
