It May Seem Unattainable – SABC 2 Movie
Today (15th December 09 between 20h00 and 22h00) I interestingly watched a religious South African produced movie that opened my eyes to some of the demands producers have to meet to make it work – it just seems unattainable, yet it is attainable. This movie plays for 2 hours, there is part 1 and part 2, each of which is an hours’ play.
I noted two young actors that were very young in part 1 and it seems like they had to wait some 5 five years (or slightly less) before they could feature in part 2. Unlike in many movies where actors are replaced by look alike actors in case the movie has to jump some years in between, this wasn’t the case.
So, where is the un-attainability concept? It based on the assumption that the scripts for both parts were ready at the time part 1 had to be recorded; after its successful release all players had to be told to wait some 5 years or so before they can be invited for part 2. Is this not strange? Can a sound business be run in this fashion? I guess such an arrangement is actually asking for too much and it is difficult to wait just so another person in a team grows up.
Similarly, making one’s website profitable may seem unattainable, yet it surely is if you work at it. For example, it seems like a joke that I couldn’t earn a cent from my website in four years until now that I can safely claim to be making about R 20 per article in this blog. I have stayed on even when it seemed like a waste of time and money, but today it is paying off; at least covering the website running costs.
The key to this small success I see in my efforts is based on doing what I like. I realised my passion and created an environment to make it work for me and today earn from doing what I like. You can get started earning online by having a website dedicated to teaching the world on your passions, maybe your skills as well as your academic knowledge defined in your own terms or interpretation.
The earlier you start, the better and the closer you get to your target success. Remember that every journey begins with the first step.
